It's a.........

Yep! Claire is going to have a little sister! We're very very excited :)

Here are the ultrasound pictures...pretty fuzzy on the face this time, unfortunately (I think IMC's ultrasound machines were better or something bc Claire's was much clearer) but there are some cute ones of the feet, legs, and arms.

In the profile pic above, she is facing up, but it's really fuzzy--crown of the head is to the right of the image with face tilted back (does that make sense?)

I think the foot picture is my favorite. But, hopefully, esp. when it comes to the face--hope this isn't a good representation of what she'll really come out looking like :) I think she'll be 100 times cuter!

Happy Mother's Day to me :)

Jordan took these pictures of Claire and Mommy yesterday (we only had like 10 minutes...it was kinda cold) and then I Photoshopped. We're a team :) I can't believe it--we only had to delete like 1 picture..they all turned out cute--I think bc Claire had Daddy behind the camera making her laugh! I think we'll make Mommy/children photos a yearly Mother's Day tradition.

Potty Love

Claire has no concept of what she is supposed to do on the potty. But she sure does love it! She got mad at me today for changing her poopy diaper. I said, "what, you want to go on the potty?" And she said "potty" and so I quickly cleaned her little bum and sat her down on the potty (on her pretty princess potty seat Gma. Taylor got her a while back--early, eh?). Tears turned to smiles as she sat on the throne. So happy. Too bad she has no idea what to actually DO on the potty. But once she does know what to do, I'm training!!

ps. this isn't the first time she's wanted to sit on the potty...just the first time I've gotten a picture :)

I am NOT SMART sometimes.

You mothers will probably shake your heads as you read this, and think "How stupid can she be? I would NEVER let my child go to bed with a pen!

I did. I didn't want her to throw a fit at naptime because I took her pen. All she was doing with it was taking the cap on and off. I never realized I'd find THIS:

Yeah, the bedsheet turned into her canvas. My little artist. It is now soaking in OxyClean--who knows if that will work? Fortunately I have another sheet.

Not only did she scribble all over the bed, but an HOUR later, we could still hear that she was awake!! she never takes THAT long to get to sleep--guess she was a little preoccupied. So, we got her out, and staged this photoshoot: (and I can't remember why she was only in a diaper at this point...)

Tried to have her look up and smile at us, but you know how 1 yr. olds are...not too keen on posing or staying still for that matter!

I guess I'll be keeping all of the pens in the house under lock and key. Oh and do you see in the bottom left-hard corner of the picture above--the scratched paint on the crib? that was from Claire's teeth one day. Yep, she bit into it like a beaver. And to think she won't eat some of the YUMMY food I feed her, but she thoroughly enjoys woodchips and paint (she eats woodchips also, at the park)

I will be smarter next time. I promise.

More Clippies

So, I have a lot of "lonely nights" since Jordan works graves. And when I'm catching up on TV, I have a hard time just watching TV without doing other more "productive" things too, ie: folding laundry, doing a craft, doing work on the computer. Anyway, so last night I decided to do some clippies for Claire and her cousin, Lauren.

I think they turned out REALLY CUTE! I am starting to get a little obsessed with buttons, as you can see. If any of you crafty readers out there know where to get buttons REALLY CHEAP (like a website maybe?) let me know! And if any of you want to know HOW to make these clippies, let me know...SUPER easy. I can show you--heck we can have a craft night :)

Anyway, Claire's hair will be even more stylin' now.... :)

Adventures in Babysitting

For the past few weeks, I have had the opportunity to babysit my sister, Heather's little baby boy, Quinn. BOY is he an EASY baby!! I hope mine is this easy! (I don't remember Claire being that easy :) And SOOOO CUTE! I just LOVE his little squishy face in this picture!


(Nevermind my purple lips...I look kinda SICKLY in this picture, huh? Well, I still was in a bit the sick first tri stage, so....that's my excuse)

Sometimes I also babysat Lauren, her 2 year old. It's pretty funny to watch/mediate Lauren and Claire "playing" together. Here's how it goes:

*Lauren picks up a toy.
*Claire starts whining and trying to take it away from her.
*Lauren says "MINE!"
*Claire starts crying.
*Aunt Nunu (that's me!) says "Lauren, Claire, these are all Aunt Nunu's toys. Share."
*To no avail.
*Claire soon learns to say "mine" also.
*The vicious cycle continues.

Hopefully they will play "better" when they're a little older :) Haha. For now it's just a toy keepaway....
