For those who know me...well, I'm not too impresssed with our democratic candidate who already thinks he's president. In fact, I might have to move to another country if he is elected! The media just LOVES him, and he is traveling the world as the next best thing to sliced bread! Or, more audaciously, as a "MESSIAH" to all of us little people who can't govern ourselves--we must rely on the government to control everything, because they know best...right.

The media follow the prevailing winds. This is in their own best interest to keep people tuned in to them. Remember when Pres. Bush was pushing for war in Iraq? The media, by and large, were behind this idea.
Currently a LOT of people are excited about a man who represents change from the disaster that is the Bush administration and can speak in complete sentences. Granted, the bar isn't very high any more. So it makes sense that the media jumps in on this excitement. With the exception of some backward, regressive places like Utah, the country genuinely likes this man, and it's not because the media tell them to. You're selling US citizens short in this line of thinking.
It's the same with Glenn Beck - you tune in to him because he's saying the things you like to hear (or simply because he's Mormon - I still haven't figured out why anyone would like him). He's just selling his wares to a bit of a niche crowd (namely Utahn's).
I agree with Janessa 100%; and "Tiger" Glenn Beck is the 3rd most listened to talk radio show in America, and Utah represents less than 1% of the nation’s population so please explain to me how he reached that level with only Utah listening to him?
I'm guessing that it was your brilliant math skills that brought you to that conclusion.
By the way - as long as Obama has someone write his talks then yea I’m sure on the surface they will at least sound ok unless of course on his own he might stumble and talk about 'inhalators' or 'breathalyzers' for kids with asthma while he explains how he has visited 56 of the united states which is so impressively better than Bush.
But for those using at least 10% of their mental capacity and can look past the surface of ‘how’ someone says things down to the real substance of what they are saying then they might find out that oh…I don’t know…Obama is still stuck in the socialist/communist/Marxist mindset that has worked oh so many wonders for Russia, China, Vietnam, Nazi-Germany, Venezuela, and all the other countries foolish enough to actually think those systems of government work. But at least they did not have much of history on their side to teach them that socialism/communism doesn’t work.
Obama on the other hand has that history and yet he still thinks it will work…talk about regressive!!
I guess this is one more evidence of the truism that those who don’t know history are doomed to repeat it.

Oh, snap! anonymous. You got me! I completely forgot that Russia, China, Vietnam, Nazi-Germany, and Venezuela even existed. If I *had* remembered them I probably would have also forgotten that each one of them were ruled by a fascist government and only used "socialism" as an excuse to exploit their people. Speaking of which, China isn't doing half bad with that; they're poised to overtake the US as the world's superpower.
I'm sure the forwarded e-mails you get about how scary-"Marxist" Obama is get validated by what Glenn Beck says, but that doesn't make it true. Keep living in your little bubble, people. Together, you can validate each other's prejudices when Obama becomes POTUS.
