Right now, the room the baby will be in is Jordan's office. Not exactly a pastel-ish, feminine place :) Right now, there's a really pretty oil painting we bought that really can't go anywhere else, so I thought, well, I guess I'll match the crib and bedding to this:

So, I got a black crib featured here:
The blanket will be red minky with satin border, and then my mom will put a cute little toile bow in the corner, with her name underneath (she has one of those fancy embroidering sewing machines).
Then, the crib skirt will be in toile, and she is going to make two little pillows--one in the red minky and one in the toile. no bumpers--because I heard they are dumb...
Anyway, in a few months, when she's done, and I'm TOTALLY "DONE" :) I will post a picture of what it all looks like!!

I completely agree on the bumper thing! When we moved our kids into their cribs (they were like 3 months old) they would just pull the bumper off and I was always worried they'd suffocate themselve. The materials you picked out are so cute!! Congrats again! Love you guys!
i love the colors. and the painting. and your thought of the month :) haha
Glad to hear more people agree on the bumper thing :) And Ariel, very happy to make you laugh... you guys are great!
Josh--I'm totally honored you would say such a thing :) I'm actually lately obsessed with doing blog templates--I mean, yeah, while watching the Olympics this weekend, I've made like 10 new templates. Not sure what to do with them. Maybe I should start a business... Wanted to originally do interior design at BYU but thought I wasn't good enough, based on the competition. I really regret it now, because I'm one of those people that is OBSESSED with HGTV design shows...yes, I'm a dork. Nice to hear from you--do you have a blog? If so, what's the url?
