The 3 Pregmigas!!

So, we had a shower for Megan Cross this past Saturday, which was FAB. If you want to see all the pics of the occasion, click here :) Just a couple I thought were fun:

Natalie, me, and Megan. I am the least prego obviously, but I really let it ALL hang out for the pic so I could measure up!!

Photobucket
To no avail really...they are due in June (Meg) and July (Nat) I'm not done with this festival of fatness until October :(
And I have to say for this next one: "SEPARATED AT BIRTH??"

This is me with my Relief Society president, Heidi. I wanted to post this pic bc well, she's HOT, (can I say that about my RS pres?? Oh well, just did!!) AND because well, we look like we could be sisters, don't you think??? That's OK with me!! Heidi?

I Heart Appliques :)

Latest projects!

I made a onesie for Claire (yes, I will be putting her in onesies until they don't make them in her size anymore, or she is potty trained...whichever comes first, haha) and one for my friend, Megan's upcoming baby girl, Nora :)

The butterfly is on Claire's and the apple is on Nora's. It's SO EASY. You just use fusible webbing to "stick" it on (iron I mean), and then get some embroidery floss, half it (there are 6 individual "strings" in each piece of floss...just get it down to 3 bc otherwise it's too bulky for the delicate shirt) and do a blanket stitch around, and voila!! Cuteness!! I usually have done these with just doing a zigzag stitch on my machine around each applique, but this is SO MUCH CUTER I think!
I also made little clips for Claire. Even easier, just my glue gun, 2 buttons, some ribbon, and me.

Dog "Attack"

Ok, so it wasn't an actual "rabid dog attack" on Claire. It was an overly excited little puppy. Claire and I were at the park and she was standing in the grass about 10 feet away from me. A neighbor's little dog ran up to her, jumped on her (it's a little dog, but once it jumped on her, it was like her same height!) knocking her over, and proceeded to lick her all over the face!! She was screaming and crying :( Just scared of course... It also accidentally scratched her little face. Poor Claire. She is slightly traumatized and will need to get used to dogs (up close) again... She still loves them from far away!

Mother's Day is coming up...

Can I just say how IN LOVE I am with his charm jewelry???? It's too late to order in time for Mother's Day, but who needs a holiday to BUY THESE.... :)

You have to check out the site: http://www.thevintagepearl.com/

Honey, I can totally let you know which ones are my favorites, but we kinda have to find out what I'm having next AND pick out a name before the order. It'll be a while I guess...

The Sweet Sounds of Claire

This is hilarious.

Claire talks up a storm (of course, only around select people) and loves to get smiles out of mommy and daddy.

She gives us animal sounds a lot: baa, neigh, meow, arf arf, moo (sometimes she just says "cow" instead of moo), ummm whatever a monkey does, can't spell that, roar (a bear)...

And some every day words: hi, bye, mama, dada, of course, cheese, dude, ball, ap (apple), nana (banana), "num" that means food of any kind, googhurt (yogurt, haha), up, bampa (grandpa), down, NO (this one's annoying!! haha), cow, pretty, bunny, dog, hat (she says hatta), hot, juice, Jesus, bite (we've taught her to say "bite" when she wants some of our food), CREAM, etc. etc.

Just watch the video. (oh, she's mainly in PJ's in this video montage. Somehow she is more "talkative" in the morning or something... one day she wanted to wear my tankini bottoms over her shirt. Yep, that's in there...)

Oh yeah, and we had a bunny for a week. Jordan rescued it. We kept it 7 days too long. Then, I am proud to say, we didn't call Animal Control, who would've just killed it after 10 days of being unclaimed...we took it to the Humane Society where we had to pay 15 bucks to donate it to them (for vaccines and stuff I guess). Anyway, so in the future when Claire complains she has never had a pet, don't worry, we have it RECORDED IN HISTORY that she had a bunny for a while when she was 1 :)

I'M ALIVE!!

I thought I was dead too. I think this has been the longest break from blogging I've EVER taken! But who wants to blog, take pictures, reminisce, when they're puking their guts out every day? BUT, now I'm just about over that phase, and feeling MUCH better. Yay!!

So here's an update:

I feel badly I haven't blogged about Claire because she's growing and changing by the SECOND!! AH! Here are some funny and cute things she has been doing and saying...

Photobucket

Beware of bringing a big gulp into the house when you expect to keep it to yourself. Claire thinks they're ALL her's. She will take it.

Photobucket

Like many children, Claire thoroughly enjoys MSG...I mean, Ramen Noodles :)
We're awesome parents, I know...

Photobucket

Claire's new favorite food is "CREAM." Jordan's Dad started this mess by spraying whipped cream into her mouth. She is JUST like her mommy because she LOVED it. Now "cream" is one of her favorite new words..."

Photobucket

K, blurry picture, but it's just funny. Claire TOTALLY loves playing with my bras. So Jordan tied one of my bras onto her. She loved it and walked around proud. Haha..I know, these are boy PJ's...

A few months ago, mommy was dumb enough to think that a nice potted plant would be a good idea in the living room. After picking soil and rock out of this one's mouth for the 200th time, she decided that maybe it WASN'T such a good idea. PLUS, the plant was dying, go figure :) Took it back, but we still have this cute planter from IKEA. It is one of Claire's favorite toys. She gets stuck in it daily though...

Photobucket

While I was in the depths of sickliness, Jordan spent a lot of time playing with Claire. One day, he decided to build her a "little house" (it took up a large chunk of the living room actually). She LOVED it. Jordan said it only took 45 minutes to put together. A couple of weeks later, when she was already bored with it, as kids get, we took it down and threw it out. Sorry, environmentalists everywhere....we don't have recycling here. But, I have to say, the best part about this, is, that if we would've bought one of those plastic houses, once Claire was done playing with it, lost interest, etc.... you can't throw it out :)

Photobucket

Nope, it's not what you think. Unfortunately, my baby girl's ears are STILL not pierced and now probably won't be until she's like...well who knows. Jordan has always been against the baby piercing, so... but one day, she put little magnets on her ears, one in the front and one on the back of the lobe. They were like little earrings! So cute! But then one of them fell out when Claire got too close to another magnet. We have a lot of magnets around this house.

OK, more to come shortly.
