We are finally home :) It has been great (except that I need that reclining bed at home, let's be honest) and of course, tiring!
Claire is on the graveyard shift when it comes to her sleep schedule. Up all night, asleep all day. NOT for long. We've been waking her up every 3 hours to breastfeed so that she won't be as awake at night.
Breastfeeding is...well, I think I'd go through labor all over again instead!!! When she first latches on--omigosh, EXCRUCIATING pain. TOE CURLING pain. But it's worth it, I guess :) I just have to get toughened up! I heard from my sister-in-law, Ann-Marie, that it gets worse before it gets better, and I'm pretty sure I'm in the "worse" stage right now. BUT, now I can totally relate to how my Mom has described breast feeding. It really is so awesome and "bonding" and all of that...she is just too cute.

Oh she is so cute! Congratulations on your beautiful baby girl!
ohmygosh she is so CUTE!!! que linda!!!! quero morder!!! :)
I've been checking for these! Congratulations guys, she is beautiful. It was funny to read about your experiences Janessa, too funny! I laughed at how many people where in the room w/ you! How awesome for you to share that moment with them. She is just darling, enjoy it because ( I know it sounds cliche) it goes by so fast. And the breastfeeding totally gets better. for me at about 2 weeks I'm good. But I have to clench my teeth, or drinking a huge glass of water while the baby latched on helped. Good job!
i WAS greatly anticipating details :) you're not helping with my fear of nursing!!! but i'm sure i'll give it a shot. she really is so pretty, janessa! i'm so happy for you... and slightly jealous that your baby is here :) hope you three are doing well!
She is absolutely gorgeous!! Even Aiden said so!
Nursing is definitely a love/hate thing! Connor wasn't latching properly, so that was my issue! If it doesn't get better soon, call Chanda, she is a lactation specialist and can really help! I went to one and it was FABULOUS. She is absolutely beautiful btw!
Janessa!! I am so excited for you. These first few weeks fly by. Take time to just enjoy. I'm glad it all went so well. The nursing thing really comes. It's amazing how you have to restart the whole nursing thing with each child. I thought I was a pro, the second one came, and I had to start all over again. You two are the most gorgeous girls, your husband must be proud of his little ladies. Call me sometime if you need anything or just want to talk. I can also come out and see you, I think you live close, I am just in Tooele still. 435-830-2826
She's beautiful!
Nursing does get better, I wish some one had told me that. They get faster, it hurts less, and they don't have to nurse as often. . . I thought the every two/three hour thing lasted until they stopped nursing. I hated it at first I felt like the worse Mom, but Carson was so tiny and premature how could I stop. After awhile though it starts to get really easy and it's nice not to have to fix a bottle in the middle of the night.
i finally read your blog.....she is so candid and photogenic. congrats again you two. love you dooders!
she is such a doll!!! I've been sick, but as soon as im feeling better I will be right over to meet this cute little girl! we love you guys! congrats!!!
Janessa,
She is gorgeous! I love her! I want to kiss her cute little cheekies! When are you going to be well enough for a Vegas road trip? Who does she look like? Who cares, sooo cute!
