The Last Time...

I'm so sad! Last night was the last choir concert for our group, the Utah Master Chorale. It was great though! We sang really well, I think, and my husband came! It was his first time seeing one of my concerts...he'd been working the other times (LIKELY STORY!!!). My father-in-law, Dan, and our good friends, Rachel and Jonathan Denbeste (Jordan works with Jonathan at ICU Medical, and I work with Rachel at Downeast Home...and they're in our ward...and they're in our neighborhood, ahha) also came with their grandma!

Our director, Cameron Rose, has finished his graduate degree and was hired for the University of Texas' choral program. He will basically be in charge of it--he's excited to do "whatever he wants" with the new program :) We gave him this HUGE picture of the Utah Master Chorale at the Cathedral of the Madeline (pictured below) and we also gave him a book about Finzi--this guy who wrote our 14-minute song, "Lo, the Full, Final Sacrifice" and who Cameron has written paper upon paper about..haha.

Well, it looks like we might still stay together--we have some people who want to fund us, and the board may want us to stick around...we just have to get a new director. It will be hard--Cameron was SOOOOO good, and SOOOO talented, and we loved singing the arrangements he composed. He will be missed, but we are so proud of him--apparently there are hundreds of applicants to only a handful of jobs!

It's hard to believe it's really over! I seriously have been crying my eyes out for days. I agree, we did really well last night! We've just got to pray seriously hard that something will come up SOON!!

OK cool! Well, if he doesn't like Scrabble, he may like the Speed Scrabble alternative... ;) Yeah, we'll talk about it on Thursday!

It felt so strange not seeing anyone on Thursday. I need an update on you. How are you feeling? How's work? How was your scentsy party?
