So, the other day, I very WILLINGLY helped Painho and Fofa spend some cold hard cash at Taipan--a home decor store in South Jordan. It is great helping other people spend their money, haha :) Since the cabin is finally done, they had to "deck it out" with some cool contemporary rustic wall art and accessories. But they also wanted a nice centerpiece for their dining room table at their condo downtown. The one they were looking at carried quite a price tag: $250! So, I told them..."hey, this is easy to do--let's buy the flowers, the green foam stuff, and a pot, and I'll do it." We ended up spending like $100 on all of the materials...and then I made it!! (the picture above is the end result, sitting on my kitchen table :)
Once I was done, I realized there was just ONE section that really needed ONE MORE red spray, so I had to go back to Taipan and get it. When I went back, omigosh, the flower arrangement they had looked at was SOOOOOOOOOOO not as cute as the one I DID!!! And not as full. Mine is much nicer. I have to say, I'm proud of it!!! (you're welcome, Mom and DAd! It was a pleasure :)...I bought something at Taipan (this candle wax stuff to melt in my Scentsy burner) and you can TOTALLY compensate me for it, as a "thank you" for my professional services :)

Dear Miss Multitalent:
Lately I have felt really inadequate because I keep seeing people come up with these gorgeous flower arrangements that look like their worth upwards 1000.$$ I also feel like these people can sing extremely well, AND be gorgeous at the same time. What should I do?
Sincerely,
Not understanding how you did that.
:)
Um seriously, you are a girl of many talents. I don't know if we can be friends anymore. Between you and Kathryn, I constantly feel like a failure. :)
LOL whatever...it's like decorating a Christmas tree...you start out with the main green stuff, then strategically place each TYPE of flower all at the same time, then fill in with more green stuff...I didn't want to say it was so easy before, but now the cat's out of the bag :) Besides, I'm pretty sure you guys are WAAAY better sight-readers than I am. Being a soprano my whole life has really made things easy...
Wow I could never do that! I mean, I could, but it would totally be expressionist art! :)
Querida, you are so talented! I love you! :)
Janessa, will you give me your email address so I can email you??? PLEASE???
P.S. Nice job on the flowers.
wow... you weren't kidding! it was super easy to find you. i love your blog. and i love the floral arrangement! my blog address is seanandariel.blogspot. come check it out :)
p.s. i'm super sad about our little choir! are you going to find a new choir to sing in?
i made my own header. i just got some digital scrapbooking paper & used my photo editor to crop it. i am not so good with photoshop... i downloaded a free trial once and could never figure it out! you'll need to give me lessons or something.
your idol party sounds waaay fun... but i will actually be in san francisco that week. my wardie friends and i usually have idol night together. it's a great excuse to hang out with the girls every week :)
Newie, it look fabulous! Seriously when you are a stay at home mom, you can make good money decorating other people's houses and making flower arrangments. And if this business takes off, you can give me the credit for giving you the idea.
